In our last blog, we talked about Basic Needs
Here’s our family basic needs:

  • Food and drinks, eating/drinking equipments and tools:
    • Food – Logan is 16 months, so he’s fine eating whatever we eat. But we need to bring his eating tools
      • Utensils – fork and spoon (multiple sets! we have lost ours before when he threw it on the floor and we forgot about it)
      • Plastic bowls for cereal (we are terrified he would break porcelain bowls at the Airbnb)
      • Plastic plate that we travel around with in our diaper bag
      • Bibs!
      • Travel high chair (which we are renting)
    • Drinks
      • Water bottles
      • Sippy cups
      • Milk (buying this when we get there)
      • Water (buying more when we are there)
    • Snacks:
      • Applesauce pouches
      • Cookies/biscuits
      • Pretzels
  • Healthy and warm
    • Winter jackets
    • Sweaters
    • Hats
    • Long sleeve shirts
    • Pants
    • Dresses (for our princess)
    • Pajamas
    • Socks
    • 1 pair of shoes
    • 1 pair of boots (who knows what weather we will get)
    • First aid/Emergency kit (bandaids, baby and kid tylenol, etc.)
    • Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, body shampoo, shampoo, bath rag)
    • Vicks
  • Rest
    • Travel crib (we’ve bought it years ago when Lena was a baby and we were traveling back and forth Chicago and St. Louis, if not, we would have rented a crib)
  • Making your young children feel safe and secure
    • Their blankies
    • Their sleep/nap friends (Logan sleeps with an elephant that vibrants and project music)
    • Sound machine (rented)
    • Her pillow
    • Baby monitors (she knows she can talk to us through the monitor)

What are your family’s basic needs? Share with us your checklist and tell us why it’s important to your young children 🙂
